And began beating the dog with sticks and broom handles. The SPCA later
responded to the scene and caught the dog, which had fled from the residents.
Witnesses said that the dog was generally peaceful and calmed down immediately
after the attack. "After this happened, the dog appeared to be polite. The
tail was wagging. Even when the SPCA arrived and had to corral the dog with the
lasso, the dog was still listening," said Trinidad Navarro, of the New
Castle County Police Department."
In 2006 Steve
Sailor reported, “One bit of good news: the dog, which was put down,
has been determined to be non-rabid."

Morieka Johnson stated, “Reintroduce
pets slowly: Each
situation differs, but psychiatrists often use exposure therapy to help
patients deal with phobias, Avasthi says. The process resembles slow and
deliberate steps that his parents took many years ago. Therapy may begin with
kids seeing photos of puppies, then pint-sized pups and, eventually, larger
dogs.
Abortion has been a nationally debated issue for centuries. These debates are entitled pro-choice or pro life. “In the United States, the
history of abortion goes back much further than the 1973 Supreme Court case Roe
v. Wade, which made abortion legal. " Abortion is not like any
other issue that is being debated today. Millions of American women have aborted a children. Many woman describe this as a painful process. In addition woman have had mental side effects from this procedure.Other feel that all forms of abortion are morally wrong and should be illegal.
"This means that, in any
debate, you may face an invisible thumb on the scale so that even the best
logic will fail to persuade. The best you can do is arm yourself with the facts
and deliver them in what you hope will be a winning way for your
audience meaning you will need to make your case, in most instances,
not in the language of faith or religion but in the language of the post-modern
secularist.
The "classic"
arguments from the other side are collapsing under the weight of science.
"No one knows when life begins" and "It's a blob of tissue"
are frankly on the wane, especially in the context of surgical abortion, which
is how the vast majority of abortions are done today."
"Women who are raped or victims of incest
should not be forced to carry out a pregnancy. Odds
are that 1 in 3 women will be victims of sexual violence in her lifetime. Does
this mean that 33% of all women should be forced to carry out a pregnancy from
this violation? Considering how many people are killed during childbirth should
we allow this further risk to endured on top of what has already been done?
Reproductive
restrictions do not end with abortion. Many people also argue that contraception
itself is wrong—another mainly-religious philosophy—and will deny women the
protection they need based on this belief. There are legislative acts that
allow actual pharmacists to deny women their birth control because of their
beliefs; does this not violate the Hippocratic Oath, case he uses it to rape?
You never know."
Pregnant HIV infected mothers transmits the HIV virus to their child through the actual pregnancy, labor, delivery and breastfeeding. A mother and child share a lot of body functions. As the infants develops to 18-24 months they will go through a process where the infants personal human immune system kicks in. In some cases HIV patients benefit
from this process. The body has been known to kicks out the HIV virus
during this process the infant may tests negative for HIV virus after
this process takes place.
International Aids and HIV
stated” That pregnant woman that are infected with HIV, she can transmit the virus to her
baby during pregnancy, labor and delivery, or breastfeeding. Without
treatment, around 15-30 percent of babies born to HIV-infected women will
become infected with HIV during pregnancy and delivery. A further 5-20 percent will become infected through
breastfeeding.”
Accounts for nearly all pediatric AIDS cases. HIV transmission from mother to
child during pregnancy, labor and delivery or by breast feeding accounted for
approximately 93% of all AIDS cases reported among U.S. children between 1985
and 2005."
Statisticson a national
level, HIV/AIDS surveillance and other studies continue to demonstrate that
perinatal HIV prevention efforts are making a difference.

In a face–to–face interview with Mrs. Carson she
stated, “In 2004 my husband suffered with a heart attack and was immediately
hospitalized. He was given a defective defibrillatorsand pacemaker. These devices was supposed to be a life saving device. Due to its defectiveness it shocked my
husbands heart 35 times. This device by Guidant was recalled due to a class
action lawsuit. We were never advised of this information. My husband had
major life threatening complications that cause a 2-day hospital stay turn
into 30 days stay. In addition we suffered with costly errors, operations, and financial
losses. This intense situation impacted our lives to the point where my husband
wasn’t able to work. This whole situation left us with large co-payments,
private hospital bills, and costly medication and abusive medical services that
were rendered. We reached out to many social service agencies for assistance,
however we were denied. We were forced to refinance our home and use credit
cards to survive. I had to personally stop my own personal medications for a
chronic illness, so my husband could get his life saving medications. These are
some of the things that happen to my family an I refuse to see another person’s
family suffer like mine.”

When you
hear the word copyrights, the initial thought that comes to mind is using
something that doesn’t belong to you. Another term that is frequently used is plagiarism.
There are federal copyright laws that protect an individual’s original work.
When these laws are violated individuals are entitled to compensation. There
have been numerous music-copyrighted cases that have been tried across the
country. When plagiarism is identified and proven in court of law compensation
is awarded. In other cases both parties reach a settlement agreement.
Weinhaus
& Potashnick
reported that, “Michael Bolton was sued by the Isley Brothers for allegedly
lifting parts from their original song of the same name and in 1991 Despite
Michael Bolton and the co-author of the song’s argument that there was
insufficient evidence supporting the jury’s findings, the district court found
in favor of the Isley Brothers and left the largest award in history for
plagiarism in the music industry intact. The Isley Brothers were awarded 5.4
million dollars, the calculation based on sixty-six percent of past and future
royalties. (Also taken into account was twenty-eight percent of the past and future
royalties of the album Time, Love and Tenderness as Love is a Wonderful thing
is contained within that album).”

In a face-
to- face interview with Arthur Woodard, a Wilmington, Delaware musician stated
that copyrighting happen very often in the music industry. A lot of musicians
don’t have the financial means to hire advocates on their behalf. However he agrees with the
federal copyrighting laws that are currently in place to protect any original
material.

Travis L Smith stated,
“In this Case Gordon Jenkins (a song writer and singer)
accused Johnny Cash of copying and reproducing a song of his. The two songs
were slightly different but when set side by side, most of the lines sounded
the same, with the same lyrics even. After 15 years of dispute, this case was
actually settled outside of court, Jenkins sued Mr. Cash for defaming him with
the song that he originally wrote. This 1968 out of court settlement approached
the hundred thousand mark.”
